*THE GOLF PROFESSOR USES A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THE GOLF CLUB CARD SALES TO PROVIDE FULL OR PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENT/ATHLETES.
During Dr. Ortman’s 15+ year tenure as a Golf Coach at several local High Schools he saw the need for individual instruction above and beyond the group time permitted by High School practice rules and schedules. The Golf Professor’s Day Golf Camps are the ideal primer on golf giving students individual attention in a group atmosphere. The most unique aspect is that the schools are setup daily for each particular High School that participates. Not only are you learning golf individually but constructing synergized teamwork for a successful golf team season. Fundamentals are stressed throughout the 6 hours of instructional session.
A typical Day-Camp schedule is:
- 9 am – 12 noon: LONG GAME FUNDAMENTALS ON DRIVNG RANGE
- 12 noon – 1 pm: LUNCH
- 1 pm – 2 pm: SHORT GAME FUNDAMENTALS ON PUTTING GREEN
- 2 pm – 4:30 pm: ON- COURSE INSTRUCTION RULES, ETTIQUETTE AND MENTAL SKILLS ARE STRESSED
The Golf Professor continually works with local businesses, High School Athletic Directors, and Golf Coaches to encourage students to participate. Your contribution to the Golf Card will help provide scholarships for qualifying students. The goal is to provide enough scholarship funds for 5 students from each local High School to attend.
The Golf Card has special discounts for Booster Clubs, Fundraisers, Golf Tournament favors, and businesses who would like to purchase for resale or give away as gifts.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Golf Professor will come to your High School’s home course or practice site if more convenient for your school program.
